Alzalanga and Hlafe

Here's Alza and Hlafe. They both lives in a protected area. This area is filled with ancient ruins and unique species of plants and animals. It is a precious archaeological site and a reserve for wildlife. It is even a crime to cut or hurt a tree since they grow incredibly slowly, taking hundreds of years to reach 5 metres, and by so, some of the oldest trees known are within this area (the big tree beside the ruins is tens of thousands of years old).

Hlafe is what is called a Savannah Tarakan. Tarakans have a sturdy body covered in thick hide and very strong legs,  able to break bones with a kick. Their horns are hard to break and used to ram into opponents or predators, their skull and neck is made for resisting the shocks caused. The Savannah Tarakan possess a unique trait among its specie as its large tail is used to store fat and other nutrients. Tarakan form large herds comprised of many couples and their youngs. Savannah Tarakan are known to form a circle with the youngs in the middle when a predator is near (like bisons do). 
Hlafe in particular is rather peculiar as she was alone when she arrived in the reserve. She was also very aggressive, attacking every animal that approached. It is unknown if it was because she was scared of being alone or if she was driven away of the herd for her aggressivity. Since she was alone, she was often attacked by predators, leaving her with many scars and exhausted. It was when Hlafe was too exhausted to even stand and at the mercy of a couple of Silions that Alza appeared. She drove the Silions away and stayed with Hlafe even when she tried to ram her. They eventually became inseparable. Still, Hlafe never lost her aggressivity and often attacked workers and tourists. Park rangers tried to relocate her many times(even with Alza) but she always came back so they attached a tracer around her leg to know where she was and plan detour when needed. She is also known for stealing keychains of all things. She don't only have the ones stuck on her horns, she have a whole stash.

Alzalanga, her, is a Redtip Pickhead. They are a large kind of opportunistic bird the size of an ostrich. They possess strong legs which allow them to run fast and break bones. Their strange beak is used to hit potential prey when running and when fighting competitors. They are usually solitary but will form small hunting groups when needed. They tend to be very curious but kick unknown things when they move, leading to injured tourist and broken cars. They can eat almost anything, their diet ranging from corpses to fruits to insects. Pickhead are known for adopting orphaned youngs, no matter the specie.
Alzalanga was known to be a pain to rangers. She often decided to rest on top of their cars, buildings, etc and then attacked when they approached. They were unable to relocate her away as she always came back near humans. They couldn't relocate her outside the reserve or kill her as Redtip Pickhead are endangered. She also had the habit of kidnapping other animals' youngs, especially eggs. That only decreased when she stumbled upon Hlafe. Now they both tend to stay around settlements but rarely enter them. Still, Alza seems to have learned a thing or two from Hlafe as she attacked a reserve worker only to steal her scarf. Attempts to retake it having been met with a very pissed off bird, rangers simply let her keep it. They even wash it when she start breaking inside buildings shaking her scarf around when its too dirty. And if they forget to tie it around her neck, she let them know with an angry screech.
